iTrip iPod Car Trade In

  In 2008 iCarKits ran a special where customers who purchased our direct connect adapters were able to mail in their outdated FM adapters. This is one of the returned Griffin iTrip products from a customer who made the switch.

Due to how many iTrips we received back for our mail in rebate offer we have not had time to test it. If the iTrip you order does not work you can send it back for an exchange within 30 days.

Please be warned that the iTrip trnasmitts audio over FM radio which reduces the quality signifigantly. If you hear static in the signal chances are the adapter you received is NOT broken, it just is doing its best at sending audio over FM.

   The iTrip plugs into the 30pin connection at the bottom of your iPod so you are unable to charge your iPod with it plugged in - even if you own a car charger. It should also be noted that the iTrip will reduce your iPods battery life as it does not have its own battery.
